The following photos were taken on October 15-20 and show the coffer dam being built and reinforced to hold back the water from the left spillway after recent rains. Once the area is dry, work will begin to pour the concrete spillway to replace the rotting wooden one.

Here is a video of the filling and placing of the coffer dam sandbags. https://youtu.be/VBdmRjNKydk

Temporary road to access the dam.
Temporary bridge over the fishway to get heavy equipment to the dam.
Looking downstream at the left spillway. The area is clogged with beaver debris. The coffer dam will be placed to the right.
Part of the rotting wooden crib in the left spillway.
Looking through the left spillway upstream towards where the coffer dam will go and towards Chemo Pond.
Old road to the roll dam area.
Roll dam with beaver debris on top.
Close up of the roll dam. This dam will be removed at the end of the construction project.
Filling the sandbags.
Transferring the bags to be placed in the stream.
Moving the bags to the Lull Lift which is designed to extend out over the stream to place the bags.
Plastic is laid in the stream to go under the sandbags.
Lull lift placing the sandbags on the plastic.
Sandbags in place. The plastic will now be lifted up and over the sandbags and held down by logs.
A view of the sandbags through the left spillway.
The plastic wrap over the sandbags.
Rain has raised the water level and more sandbags are needed.
More sandbags on the end and between the coffer dam and the spillway. The beaver debris has been removed.
Leakage through the coffer dam once the beaver debris was removed.
A pipe has been added to get water around the spillway.
Sandbags being moved to below the dam.
Sandbags placed below the dam to protect the area from the water from the pipe seen on the upper part of the photo. It drains back into the stream on the plastic sheet to the left.
Adding layers to the sandbags at the spillway.
And more sandbags. You can see the blue pipe helping with water bypassing the coffer dam.
The wooden crib has been removed from the spillway. You can see the loose stonework that needs to be chinked or mortared to repair the leaks through the dam.
Looking pretty dry for concrete!
More sandbags waiting if needed.
Placement of the extra sandbags.
